The EFL Students’ Anxiety in an Online Public Speaking Class at an Indonesian University

One of the main challenges for English as Foreign Language (EFL) students in public speaking class was Anxiety (FLA). Due to COVID-19, must be conducted online. This study aimed examine level FLA online classes and discovered impacts on students' feelings upon joining class. research used a quantitative approach. The fifth-semester at Sanata Dharma University. researchers took 50 from total population 159 batch 2019. investigated through Modified Classroom Scale (MFLCAS), were explored using Virtual (MFLVCAS). results showed that experienced moderate with mean 3,00 by three dimensions; Communication Apprehension (CA), Fear Negative Evaluation (FNE), Test (TA). There no adverse related FLVCAS. classroom setting did not bring another source anxiety students.
